The soft, handmade paper covering this pocket notebook is echoed in the lovely US-made paper in this book -- a warm and inviting stock that loves pencil and much as fountain pen. While often referred to as a multi-needle Coptic binding, this Ethiopian style uses multiple needles and also a different board attachment. The thicker boards allow for the threads to attach at the edge of the boards, rather than being tied around them. I find this method more stable and also easier to open -- perfection! This book is one of a kind and made completely by hand, using manual tools. Details: 4.5 X 3.75 inches; Ethiopian bound with linen thread; covered in handmade lokta paper over boards; 200 blank pages of 24lb parchment in "Ivory"
