Leatherette Longstitch Journals
I have been searching for years for a faux leather that is thick, pliable-yet-stiff-ish, matte textured, and strong enough for bookbinding -- oh, and not smell like rocket fuel. These books are covered in 2mm thick, PU based (not vinyl) faux leather. Each is carefully sewn with a late Medieval longstitch binding, with strong linen thread. The inside is soft, but not fuzzy, and I the material strikes a great balance between stiffness/beefiness and flexibility. Choose from brown with a blue bead and black with red. (Please read below for more details and some information about this binding style.)
