The Targeted Independent Practice: Reading Fluency and Comprehension program provides 43 expository animal fluency articles, along with corresponding videos, each recorded at 3 different speeds for modeled reading practice. Word counts and timing sheets included. Plus, the same articles feature vocabulary and embedded reading comprehension questions! Both digital and non-digital instructional options are provided. Students complete The "Pets" Fluency Assessment and are placed into three groups for modelled and repeated reading practice. Students take and record a cold (unpracticed) timing on one of 43 expository Animal Reading Fluency Articles. Students practice reading, along with the YouTube modeled reading at their words-per-minute challenge level (A, B, or C) or chorally read in their fluency groups.
