Pittsburgh, PA - 1921 Morry Goldman’s Haberdashery was located on the second floor of his building in downtown Pittsburgh. He founded one of the best basketball teams in the area and named them after his location - “The Second Story Morrys”. The all Jewish semi-pro basketball team fielded stars like Chick Davies, Ken Loeffler enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame and “Pip” Koehler who went on to play for the NY Giants baseball team in 1925. The Morrys were part of the Central Basketball League comprised of other gritty rust belt teams like Akron, Canton, and Butler.
