This is an original 1722 black and white copper engraving of "Julius Heinrich Hertzog zu Sachsen Lauenburg," also known as Julius Heinrich Herzog von Sachsen Lauenburg. He was Duke of Saxe-Lauenburg and an Imperial Field Marshall of the Holy Roman Empire. The portrait is surrounded by a wonderful decorative motif featuring a Herzogskrone, the duke's coronet, gently resting upon velvet cloth at the top of the print, with the cloth cascading down the sides of the portrait frame.
