This is an original 1873 black and white wood engraving of Captain Wilson's Arch. It was discovered when he was looking for a better water supply. He ended up leading the Palestine Exploration Fund and Society into these passageways where they found arches, vaults and secret passages. This image was taken from a book of travels from M.
