This is a rare original 1875 color chromolithograph that depicts a variety of scrollwork cartouches from Hinisdal chapel of the Discalced Carmelites and some Flemish designs, all from the 17th century. A unique feature of this illustration, which may be difficult to see in the digital image, is the use of gold ink that not only shimmers when it catches the light but also accentuates some of the finer details which might otherwise be missed.
