This is an original 1875 black and white steel engraving of an illustration by British artist William Henry Bartlett which was engraved by another famous British artist, Albert Henry Payne. It depicts the town hall (known as the Cloth Hall) of Ypres, Belgium, so named for its medieval cloth market.
