"French Restaurant" This is an original 1876 color lithograph of the French Restaurant, Les Trois Frères Provencaux, at the 1876 Centennial Exposition. The building had a banquet-room, cafe, private saloons, billiard-rooms and kitchen. The Centennial International Exhibition of 1876, was held at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Each lithograph in this collection is accompanied by an original one-page letterpress supplement with historical information (including dimensions and costs) describing the pictured building. Most images have the artist's signature embedded in the image and all have the lithograph publisher's imprint in the bottom right corner of the image.
