This is an original 1878 black and white wood engraving of the Gwalior Fort, or Pal Palace, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. The fort is located ontop of a rocky outcrop, and is one of the largest forts of India. The palace was constructed in the 15th century by Raja Man Singh Tomar for his wife, Mrignayani.
