This is an original 1882 monochrome wood engraving of the KÖnigsstuhl chalk cliff on the island of Rügen, Germany in the Baltic Sea. This cliff is the largest in Germany, found now in Jasmund National Park. Königstuhl, meaning "King's Chair," is said to have gotten its name when Charles XII got tired during a battle against the Danes and needed to sit down.CONDITIONThis 129+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++.
