1891 Wood Engraving Switzerland Gorner Glacier Climber Glissade Mountain XGSB1
This is an original 1891 black and white in-text wood engraving of a climber attempting to glissade down a steep mountain slope. It is supposed to be a controlled slide down the hill to expedite descent, but there are occasionally mishaps (as seen in the image).
