In the Bedouins' Quarters. This is an original 1894 halftone print showing the Bedouins' Quarters. The Bedouins are great story tellers, and a thousand and one Arabian Nights are still current with them. Their past times include storytelling, singing, dancing, ball playing, feats of horsemanship, drinking coffee and smoking. Boys and girls tend to the camels, sheep and goats while the slaves and women do all the rest of the work, including dressing the beautiful locks of the warriors. (Please note that, typical of halftone prints, there is printing on the reverse.)
