Originally, this historic structure housed Venetian works of art and other historical memorabilia that had been obtained by art collector Teodoro Correr. Today, the collection is located in the Museo Correr in St. Mark's Square in Venice, which is maintained by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE) .
