This is an original 1903 halftone print of the gostiny dvor, or indoor market, on Nevsky Avenue in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Great Gostiny Dvor was made up of close to 180 shops during the 20th century; however, after St. Petersburg was reconstructed after World War II, it became a massive shopping mall. Photography by O. Bulla. This item is from a limited edition collection of important historical prints produced in 1903. The edition size produced at that time was out of 1,000 and this collection of prints was numbered 870.
