This is an original 1904 halftone print of the colossi of Memnon, one of which has been reported to "sing" on various occasions due to a large earthquake-related crack through which wind passes and produces distinct sounds. The two statues of Amenhotep III are located in the Theben necropolis, across the Nile from Luxor, Egypt. This item is from a limited edition collection of important historical prints of Ancient Egypt produced in 1904. The edition size produced at that time was out of 1,000 and this collection of prints was numbered 763.
