This is an original 1905 color print of the foreshore at Southwark in London, England. Southwark is a borough of Inner London and was first settled in the Roman period. St. Paul's Cathedral can be seen in the distance on the right and it iis a Church of England cathedral. The present building was built in the late 17th century and designed by Sir Chistopher Wren as part of a massive rebuilding project after the Great Fire of London destroyed much of the city.
