This is an original 1908 black and white halftone print depicting the upper portion of the western branch of the Kidron Valley, near Jerusalem, Israel. It was here that the Pool of Bethesda was located. Mentioned multiple times in the Holy Bible, it was described as a place were invalids would come and wait for an angel to descend and stir the waters, curing the first person to enter them.
