This is an original 1917 black and white print ad for the National Motor Car and Vehicle Corporation, specially featuring the Twelve Cylinder automobile. The company, founded in 1900, by Arthur C. Newby (a major investor in the creation of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) concentrated his efforts on electric cars until approximately 1907, when the company began building their own engines. National Motor and Vehicle Corporation peaked in 1915, when it produced almost 2,000 cars. In 1922, it became a part of the Associated Motor Industries Group; however, the effects of the Great Depression forced the company's closing in 1924.
