This is an original 1917 black and white print ad for the Oakland Sensible Six automobile. The Oakland Motor Car Company, based in Pontiac, Michigan, was founded in 1907, by Edward M. Murphy, who sold half of the company to General Motors in 1909. Murphy died about six months later and the remaining entities of the company were received by GM. CONDITIONThis 94+ year old Item is rated Near Mint. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. No tears. No water damage. There is a small brown blemish in the bottom margin of this ad. There are some very minor scuff marks in the side margins.
