This is an original 1919 black and white halftone print of the river town of Salento in Quindio, Colombia. When this piece was produced, the small town was a main stop on the Cauca River for travelers on the route from Cali to Bogota. However, due to industrialization of Colombia, the route had since been diverted causing Salento to remain largely unchanged for decades.
