This is an original 1920 World War I sepia Rotogravure of an aerial view of American pilots dropping incendiary bombs made of oil emulsion, thermite and metallic sodium, a highly explosive combination, onto a German supply station. The black puffs of smoke are enemy anti-aircraft shell fire. The second image shows an aerial view of Grandpre, which was captured by the 77th and 78th Division.
