1920 Rotogravure WWI Hattonchattel Aerial View Shell Craters Military WAR1

This is an original 1920 World War I sepia rotogravure of an aerial view of Hattonchattel, where the 1st and 26th Division achieved victory in battle of the salient. The second image shows shell craters in the earth made by High Explosives. These markings are considerably larger than ordinary shell pockmarks. The final image shows Major General Charles P. Summerall, commanding 1st Division and his chief of staff Colonel C. D. Herron, who are supervising German prisoners of war. CONDITIONThis 91+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine.
