This is an original 1920 World War I sepia rotogravure of the destruction following the battle in Vaux, France. The first image shows an injured soldier being loaded in to a French ambulance; the second image shows a view of Vaux after the 9th and 23rd Infantry, 2nd Division entered the area; the third image shows the medical corps removing the wounded military from Vaux; and the final image shows the graves of fallen American soldiers who perished in hand-to-hand combat near Vaux.
