This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of airplane tricks, performed by Wesley May, Jersey Ringel and Miss Boyer. The caption for Miss Boyer writes, "Many women contest with men the primacy in air exploits, as is illustrated by this picture of Miss Boyer hanging by one foot from a fourteen-foot ladder after transferring from an automobile to her airplane. The plane at the time was moving at the rate of nearly one hundred miles an hour. The slightest weakening of the muscles, a momentary faintness and she would have been dashed to death."CONDITIONThis 89+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Light aging throughout.
