This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of the execution of four French quislings. The caption writes, "Bound by ropes to posts are four French traitors, three men and one woman, who had been duly tried and convicted of giving aid and information to the Germans. Before each doomed criminal is drawn up a firing squad. At extreme left is the woman, Mme. Aubert, being ministered to by a priest. The men, from left to right, are: Toque, Lemoine and Herbert.
