"Douglas Fairbanks" This is an original 1923 two-page black and white halftone print with a full-page portrait and a brief biographical sketch of famous silent film actor, Douglas Fairbanks (1883-1939). An excellent athlete, he was a highly popular actor in such swashbucklers as "The Mark of Zorro" (1920), "The Three Musketeers" (1921), "Robin Hood" (1922), "The Thief of Bagdad" (1924), "Don Q, Son of Zorro" (1925), "The Black Pirate" (1926), "The Gaucho" (1927), "The Iron Mask" (1929), "Mr. Robinson Crusoe" (1932), and "The Private Life of Don Juan" (1934). In 1919 he, together with Pickford, Chaplin, and Griffith, formed United Artists. He was married to Mary Pickford from 1920-1936. There is an image of their home "Pickfair" on the second page.
