This is an original 1924 photogravure of a hilltop view of Blaubeuren, a town in Alb-Donau, in Baden-WŸrttemberg, Germany. The city is home to the Blautopf, a beautiful blue spring which feed the Blau river. Alongside the Blautopf is the Hammerschmiede, or Hammer Mill. This is an 18th century water mill built to take advantage of the Blau River running from the Blautopf. Photograph by Kurt Hielscher.
