This is an original 1927 black and white print ad for the Union Pacific Railway, featuring travel to the Bryce Canyon via the Overland Route. The Bryce Canyon near Kenab, Utah, was founded by the Mormon pioneers during the 1850s. The National Park is made of incredible geological rock formations called hoodoos, which are formed by lake bed sedimentary rock, wind, water and ice erosion of the river. The erosion was originally formed along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The Canyon was named in honor of Ebenezer Bryce.
