This is an original 1929 black and white halftone print of a flight of stairs at Ziggurat, or Babel-Temple, in Ur of the Chaldees in Mesopotamia. The core of the Ziggurat was built with sun-baked bricks, however, the outside grabbed ones attention due to fired bricks of different colors, most likely having astrological significance. Only priests were allowed on the ziggurat due to the belief that it was a dwelling place for the gods. CONDITIONThis 82+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. No creases.
