This is an original 1929 photogravure of the Goose Throne of the royal palace in Mandalay, Burma (Myanmar). The palace was last inhabited by royalty in 1885. Unfortunately, the palace was burned during World War II and has been partially reconstructed since. The photographer of this image is Dr. Martin Hürlimann of Berlin, Germany. His photographs were largely composed of cities and civilizations, and taken mostly with a Sinclair camera.
