This is an original 1931 halftone print of an office in the International Publications Building of New York. The caption writes, "Beneath the smile of William Randolph Hearst and in surroundings as luxurious as any which the most imaginative Cosmopolitan writer could describe for titillated readers, Editor Long month by month reads manuscripts and accepts or rejects them in the ratio of one to one hundred and fifty." Photography by Lazarnick. Hearst was an American newspaper publisher, and took part in The San Francisco Examiner and The New York Journal in his early years. Soon he was a part of thirty newspapers in large American cities. Hearst was an inspiration for the lead character in the movie, Citizen Kane. CONDITIONThis 80+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +.
