This is an original 1934 black and white halftone print of a photograph of the typical barbed wire defenses bordering "no man's land" on the battlefields of the Western Front in Europe during World War I that American "doughboys" soldiers had to go through during their assaults against the German lines. As if these defenses weren't sadistic enough, it should be noted that the cable pictured in the foreground was also electrified. CONDITIONThis 78+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++.
