This is an original 1934 photogravure of the Schiller House in Weimar, Germany (Deutschland). The house pictured is the home Friedrich Schiller lived in for the last three years of his life. He wrote "Messina" and "William Tell" at the house. Interestingly, Weimar was where the Bauhaus movement originated by the head founders Gropius, Kandinsky, Klee, Feininger, and Schlemmer. The photographer of this image is Dr. Martin Hürlimann.
