This is an original 1955 duotone rotogravure of the Jai Prakash Yantra in Jai Singh's (1688-1743) observatory which is located in Jaipur in the Marwar (Jodhpur) region of southwestern Rajasthan in western India. The Jai Prakash Yantra was built in 1734. These two sunken hemispheres were built in order to read the position of the sun.CONDITIONThis 56+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine.
