2010 Château Mouton-Rothschild Premier Cru Classé Pauillac, Bordeaux, France
ABOUT THIS WINE A grand expression of a truly great vintage, the 2010 Château Mouton Rothschild is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot, sourced from the estate’s gravel-rich vineyards in the heart of Pauillac. The vintage was marked by ideal ripening conditions and small, intensely concentrated berries, yielding a wine of incredible density and balance. Fermentation occurred in oak vats, followed by 19–20 months of aging in 100% new French oak barrels. The result is a wine of monumental structure, purity, and longevity—arguably one of the finest Moutons of the 21st century. Ideal pairings include dry-aged ribeye, roast game, or truffle-stuffed pigeon.
