The Squash Blossom is the official necklace of New Mexico. When you drive into Gallup on I-40 from either direction you will see large billboards advertising local businesses that sell authentic Native American arts and crafts. Many use a squash blossom to decorate those billboards. Navajo silversmith Doris Smallcanyon specializes in the Squash Blossom and makes them over and over. This is her signature look, a classic Navajo blossom design. She decorates the blossoms with single Pilot Mountain stones and a rustic brushed finish. The naja is a classic crescent shape decorated with three more stones. Strung on sterling silver beads, makes this gorgeous piece of handmade Navajo silver. Total Length - 22" Weight - 112.5 grams
