Usually calligraphy is larger and goes on the top and the serif is done in all capitals, smaller and done below the calligraphy (as in the first picture). Wording paint colors can be; white, silver, black or gold). 2. personalization- make sure to read description above and stick to limits to fit! *We offer two font styles- calligraphy and capital serif. The standard is calligraphy on top and serif on the bottom. If you wish to have it in all one or the other please note it! *Please BE SPECIFIC if you care how the layout is done. If no specifics are noted, we will do the top line larger calligraphy and the bottom line smaller capital serif. If you want ALL lowercase, please note it, all capital serif? NOTE IT! If ordering with a lock please leave lock style as well (see photos for samples)   ***As each one is hand painted to order without the use of stencils or stickers, there will be slight variations from the digital samples and product received. Chests are made by hand with glue to secure the joints. Inside the chest there may be spots where the glue prevents the wood from staining as dark as the surrounding wood. This will be on the inside only and is normal. There may be small spots on the wood on the outside where the stain doesn't stain as dark and appear lightly for wood variation differences (ex; sap in the wood, etc).*** Also note as each piece is made from natural wood the final shade may be lighter or darker from the samples provided as that is the nature of staining with natural wood. There will also be variations in knot placement, wood grain patterns, etc of the underlying wood. We do use stain on our products and not paint to cover so the natural wood will show through the stain*** NOTE: Large sizes are not available from this listing to ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
