NORTHERN LIGHTS

Surprising to many, the Northern Lights visits Oregon a few times a year. Each "storm," as many forecasters call the Aurora Borealis flair ups, vary in magnitude, some are super bright, others are a faint glow. They dance upon the horizon, pulsing waves, never static, and drop your jaw when you witness them first hand. The image here is nothing short of a miracle for me; perfect glassy water, enough moon to light up the mountains, but not blow out the sky, and the magnificent Northern Lights. Easily one of my favorite images.
