VOLCANO CREEK

The night before I shot this sunrise photo had me down climbing in the dark from the upper back spire. I went up there to watch the full moon rise and knew going into the climb that I would be exiting at night in a crumbly rock, no fall zone. I watched the moon come up, awesome, then I began my descent, not so awesome. I ended up making it out safely with only a tweaked ankle, slept in my camper, woke up early, and captured the image you see. A great way to spend 15 hours. Grateful
