Sizes may vary Kate DavidsonKate Davidson (she/they) is a woodworker, craftsperson, and educator based out of Layton, NJ whose work ranges from functional furniture to sculptural play. Originally from New England, she began working in historical restoration carpentry while living on the coast of Maine, eventually enrolling in the Vermont Woodworking School’s immersion program and later graduating from UW Madison with an MFA in Woodworking and Furniture. Her pieces have been exhibited nationally, including at the Esherick Museum and Museum for Art in Wood in Pennsylvania, through Craft Desert in San Diego, and at the Trout Museum in Wisconsin. She has participated in residencies at Penland School of Craft, the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, and Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft. She is currently the Studios Operations Manager and Woodworking Coordinator at Peters Valley School of Craft.
