Aztec Lion Tile

The 8x8 Aztec Lion tile was part of a collection of animal tiles designed by Pewabic co-founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton in the mid-1920s. Aztec imagery was very popular at the time, and many historic architectural examples can still be seen today. The Guardian Building in downtown Detroit is a prime example.
