Management must be incarnated in the context of the culture, values, mores, and idiosyncracies of the people wherein it is applied and practised. In the Philippines, myridads of management systems have been transplanted from the West without adapting or modifying them to suit the Philippine conditions and the Filipinos' given behavior sentiments and values. But what the est and the highly industrialized Oriental countries are doing NOW in managment may be what Filipinos in the Philippines should do LATER. There is, indeed, a compelling need for the indigenization and Filipinization of management if it is to have its enriching effectiveness to stimulate and achieve productivity in our organizations and establishments.
