Ningning

This book is about Ningning, a young girl from a far away barrio who was rumored to have familial ties with aswangs or shape-shifting evil creatures in Filipino folklore. This is Gilda Cordero-Fernando’s first illustrated story book. She has nine grandchildren and is a well-known writer and publisher. She pioneered in the publication of books on Philippine cultural history, many of which have won prizes. She had herself been awarded nationally for writing and publishing.
