"Serenade" has a wonderful flowing quality reminiscent of an O'Keeffe painting. It's sure to be welcome addition to any space. The crystals of tartaric acid were grown on a glass microscope slide by evaporation photograph and photographed through the microscope. Tartaric acid crystals are often found growing on the corks of wine bottles on storage, where they are referred to as "wine diamonds." The crystal facets create the colors naturally by refraction of the transmitted white light.
