The core of this tiny 20 by 25 mm sub-assembly is its CAN controller with support of the protocols CAN 2.0 A/B as well as the faster CAN FD. Circuitry components are only populated on one side of the PCB. All necessary signal contacts are provided via plated half-holes on the PCB edges making this PCAN-Chip USB suitable for automatic assembly.
