The watcher stood guard on the ancient wall, A sentinel of time, he heard the call, Of civilizations rise and fall, And the ticking of the clock, an ominous thrall. He saw the world change, day by day, As technology emerged, in new and strange ways, With power to destroy, and power to heal, But the watcher knew, it was a double-edged seal. He watched as the cities grew tall and grand, Built of steel and glass, a sight to stand, But as they reached for the sky, they dug their own graves, For in their haste, they forgot the earth and its waves. He saw the world turn, a cycle divine, From birth to decay, in a never-ending line, But as the watcher stood, vigilant and true, He knew that the world, was forever new. And though the world changed, in ways unknown, The watcher stood guard, on his ancient stone, For he knew that the world, in its wisdom and grace, Would find its way, to a brighter place.   About the Poster
