About the Zinc Drywall Anchor #8 The zinc drywall anchor is a self-drilling wall anchor for drywall. It offers reliable support for wall hangers installed in medium to heavyweight applications.  Zinc wall anchor for medium to heavy-duty art and decor on ⅜” - 1” thick drywall board  Measures 1 5/16” Compatible with #8 screws (not included) Instructions Drill a pilot hole on the wall using a drill bit that’s slightly smaller than the diameter of the anchor. Be careful not to drill too deeply as this can cause wall damage. Tip: Use masking tape to mark the depth or the length of the screw you will install. Insert the anchor, then tap it lightly with a hammer until it is flush with the wall. With the anchor in place, screw in the item you want to hang.
