Los Angeles-based certified mosaic artist Vicki M outdoes herself in this monochromatic close-up portrait. The detail that went into this 8" x 10" piece goes beyond the realistic facial features; even more striking is the way mosaic is used to create shadows and highlights to add depth to the face in the portrait. Vicki began working with mosaics in 2014 and is often inspired by the people in her community. Her attention and observation of the people around her have contributed to her ability to capture countenance with such accuracy. Pieces are intended for indoor use.
