The salted maple is a take on the classic chess pie (a simple pie made from only a few ingredients). This version adds maple for a rich sweetness and a sprinkling of sea salt on top, all baked in a delicate, buttery crust. For this offering, I'm adding candied pecans on top for a delightful crunch. Note: this pie does not need refrigeration and is best when consumed right away but will keep on the kitchen counter for 2 or so days. If you refrigerate, let it come to room temperature before eating.
